About Us
Saint Aidan’s Episcopal Church was started in the home of Reverend Justin Lindstrom on September 11, 2002. It was a Wednesday evening of remembrance from the tragedy of the year before and an evening of new beginnings. The gathered congregation loved the service enough to want to return the next week. By February of 2003, we had outgrown Reverend  Lindstrom's home, so we moved our worship to Lamkin Elementary School. This made it possible to accommodate more people for worship and have a place for our Children’s Chapel. During that same month and year, we were accepted as a Fellowship in the Diocese of Texas by Diocesan Council and a year later, in February of 2004, we were made a Mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. In 2006, we moved to Arnold Middle School and in January of 2008, we moved into our facility on Fry Road.

Our Vision
St. Aidan’s is an Episcopal Church where people come together to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit as disciples of Christ building a relationship with God and others, while reaching out to the community. Our Vision St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church of Northwest Houston is a fellowship of children, youth, and adults who seek a relationship with God in Christ and one another. The transformation of lives is experienced in engaging worship, participation in the sacraments, and the practice of spiritual disciplines. We are committed to grow as faithful servants of Christ by learning to be disciples and making disciples, serving and caring for the greater community, and sharing our time, gifts, and resources.

The St Aidan’s Wellness Ministry is based upon what Jesus considered to be the most important commandment:
“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your HEARTand with all your SOUL, and with all your MIND and with all your STRENGTH.’”
Mark 12:28-31 NIV

To live this out by example we focus on providing activities, educational opportunities, and events that promote growth, accountability and “Response-Ability” in the following four areas of our lives: Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, and Spiritual. These reflect the four areas Christ felt we must be strong in, and all of these dovetail neatly with the four core values of our church community.

Wellness Team:
The Wellness Team consists of at least one member of the Bishops Committee and is open to any member of our church family who wishes to contribute to the life of our church. The Wellness Team is a vested group that generate ideas for all the areas of church ministry, as well as occasionally coordinating activities, educational opportunities, and events that better the life of our church.
